The Abbeyfield House in High River offers a warm, family-style home and a balance between privacy and companionship, security and independence, combined with the special caring element provided by dedicated volunteers and the consistency of a House Manager and Alternate Manager.Age and loneliness are the prime considerations for residency, together with a level of desire to share in a family-style atmosphere.Each House creates a sense of belonging that is truly preventative medicine. With a history of five decades, Abbeyfield International experience indicates that most Abbeyfield residents gain a new lease on life. They stay more fit and are more likely to live out their natural life cycles without becoming debilitated.

OUR AIM: To provide accommodation and companionship for the lonely older people within the areas of High River,

Okotoks, Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Blackie, Vulcan, Cayley, Nanton, Dewinton & Heritage Pointe to name just a few..

WE OFFER: An affordable, supportive living House in which ten Residents have separate accommodation and shared eating and social occasions.

WE ARE NON-PROFIT: House ownership and care support is undertaken by Abbeyfield Society of High River andcommunity volunteers.

WE ARE TIME-PROVEN: Founded over fifty years ago, there are now over 1,100 Abbeyfield Houses around the world

with 9,000 Residents and 13,000 volunteers, providing an enhanced, extended and healthy lease on life for our seniors.

Becoming an Abbeyfield Resident

Abbeyfield House in High River welcomes inquiries about becoming a resident. The first step is to complete our Resident Application Form which includes a Medical Questionnaire.
